Through this project, we want to promote and contribute to the ecological education of young people from rural areas.
The project was born from the need to help preserve the environment in the Baia de Fier area, a place frequented by many tourists and where many of our volunteers practice sports activities.
The green spaces in this area have suffered due to the waste thrown by locals and tourists.
We want to change this and together with our local partner Mountain Club White Wolf we will have as main objectives and activities:
Development/maintenance of mountain trails/via Ferrata trails.
Going out into nature and identifying plants, fruits, mushrooms, and other resources that can be used in everyday life.
Films/documentaries screening with an ecological theme.
Workshops with different themes such as:
In it, young people will learn the principle of waste sorting, what happens to the waste after it is collected, what benefits it has on the environment.
Reduce, reuse, recycle
Through this activity, we want to motivate young people to reduce the amount of waste they produce, identify new ways to use the things they already own, and transform the things they thought were useless into new and useful things.
The importance of a healthy lifestyle
During the workshop, aspects such as the components of a healthy lifestyle will be discussed.
Workshops based on Leave no trace principles
This is an amazing opportunity for young people to learn about the environment and participate in practical activities.
The project is co-funded by the European Union through the European Solidarity Corps program.
