The Youth Exchange “WAKE UP AND MOVE” held in La Carrasqueta, Spain, from 10 to 17 April 2023, was an important initiative to address the issue of technological addiction among young people. The project brought together participants from different European countries, including the Czech Republic, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, and Spain, and aimed to provide them with knowledge and skills to fight against this growing problem.

The COVID-19 pandemic has led to an increase in the use of technology and has resulted in many young people developing an addiction to it. The negative effects of such addiction can be severe, ranging from decreased concentration and attention, overstimulation of the retina, fatigue, insomnia, and delayed sleep, to vision changes, headaches, loneliness, and isolation, lack of motivation/creativity, and increased stress. Therefore, it is essential to promote a healthy lifestyle that combines sports and a healthy use of technology.

The Youth Exchange “WAKE UP AND MOVE” focused on promoting a healthy lifestyle through sport, promoting unity and teamwork, fighting against technological and social network addiction, promoting inclusion and equality through sports activities, promoting a healthy use of technology among young people, promoting mutual understanding among young people from different countries, and promoting the feeling of European citizenship.

The project was funded by the Erasmus+ program, which aims to promote the mobility of young people across Europe and support initiatives that contribute to their personal and professional development. This project was a great opportunity for the participants to learn from each other and share their experiences. Through this exchange, they were able to learn different methods to fight technological addiction and participate in sports activities that promote a healthy lifestyle.

In conclusion, the Youth Exchange “WAKE UP AND MOVE” was a fantastic initiative that addressed an important issue affecting young people in our society. It provided participants with knowledge and skills to fight against technological addiction and promote a healthy lifestyle. This project also promoted cultural exchange and helped participants understand the importance of European citizenship.
