The “Youth Map to Close the Gender Gap” project took place in Xàtiva, Spain, being co-financed by the European Union.
The coordinator of the project was Ayuntamiento de Xàtiva
The participating countries were Spain, Romania, Croatia, France, Estonia, Italy
The “Youth Map to Close the Gender Gap” project had two main objectives:
Raising awareness of the importance of gender equality.
Fostering empathy, critical thinking, tolerance, understanding and respect.
The “Youth Map to Close the Gender Gap” focused on the use of technology and social media as an essential element in the fight against discrimination and gender-based violence. During the project, the participants paid attention to issues in the field of gender equality and the reasons behind modern prejudices and stereotypes in society.
They also learned about existing EU legislation and good practices in the field of gender equality.
